More Information
Troj/Dedler-G is a downloader Trojan which attempts to download executable files from a remote location and run them.
When first run, Troj/Dedler-G copies itself to the Windows system folder as SMVSS.EXE and sets one of the following registry entries in order to run automatically on system start:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\SunJavaUpdate
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\MicrosoftOEM
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\SoundMixer
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\MSInstall
