Troj/Bckdr-CUP is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/Bckdr-CUP includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.

When first run Troj/Bckdr-CUP copies itself to <Windows>\volumec.exe and creates the following non-malicious files:

<Windows>\cat_log.log
<Windows>\wints.ini

The following registry entry is created to run volumec.exe on startup:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
VolControl
<Windows>\volumec.exe -i
