Troj/Bckdr-AWQ is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/Bckdr-AWQ includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.

Troj/Bckdr-AWQ injects code into a running process of Internet Explorer. This may enable the Trojan to circumvent some security measures.

When first run Troj/Bckdr-AWQ copies itself to <Windows>\windowo.exe.

The file windowo.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "Security Accounts Center", with a display name of "Security Accounts Center" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Security Accounts Center\
