Troj/BankSnif-E is an information stealing Trojan for the Windows platform that monitors HTTP requests for certain banking sites.

When Troj/BankSnif-E is installed the following files are created:

<System>\nethelper.dll
<System>\nethelper.xml
<System>\updater.exe
<System>\log.txt

The file nethelper.dll is registered as a COM object and Browser Helper Object (BHO) for Microsoft Internet Explorer, creating registry entries under:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\<CLSID>
HKCR\CLSID\<CLSID>
HKCR\Interface\<CLSID>
HKCR\NetHelper.Hook\
HKCR\NetHelper.Hook.1\
HKCR\TypeLib\<CLSID>

Troj/BankSnif-E may create the registry entry with the path to the updater.exe in order to be able to run at start up under:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
