Troj/Akbot-A is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/Akbot-A runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

When first run Troj/Akbot-A copies itself to <System>\msws2_32.exe.

The following registry entry is created to run msws2_32.exe on startup:

Troj/Akbot-A includes functionality to:
