BOSTON – October 21, 2009 – IT security and data protection firm Sophos today announced that it has collaborated with Intel on a solution that protects security-critical applications and contributes to compliance for regulations such as financial payments ( PCS DSS), government agencies (SIPERNet) and healthcare organizations (HIPAA).
Combining these two industry leading security products – Sophos SafeGuard CryptoServer for cryptography and Intel SOA Expressway for XML security - into a single integrated solution helps customers meet industry specific security regulations. The solution creates a cryptographic boundary that helps protect security-critical applications from attacker access, which contributes to compliance for regulations.
With the rise of cybercrime, breaches, accidental or intentional data leakage, and multi-faceted security threats, business critical information, now more than ever, must be fully protected at all times. Adding to the complexity of securing data is the growing popularity of virtualization and cloud computing amongst organizations and data centers looking to streamline the use of resources and to free up budget. The integration of Intel SOA Expressway with the Sophos SafeGuard CryptoServer will provide a more secure boundary in a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 key-storage appliance with centralized management.
