SophosLabs director addresses e-Crime Congress on web threats Mark Harris ventures inside the IFrame to find out how malware ruins web reputations

Mark Harris, global director of SophosLabs™, will be presenting at the e-Crime Congress in London.
IT security and control firm Sophos today announced that Mark Harris, global director of SophosLabs™ will be presenting a paper about web threats at the e-Crime Congress 2008 in London, England.
Mark Harris’s presentation, titled, "Inside the IFrame; Whose malware is ruining your web reputation?" will examine how end-user access to legitimate websites is becoming a major commercial and internal security concern. Harris will also look at the danger of hosted links, the vulnerabilities and exploits targeting users through their browsing habits and what organisations can do to reduce the risks they face.
Mark Harris leads Sophos's team of experts, based in the UK, Australia, Canada, and US, which issues 24-hour protection in order to ensure its customers' networks automatically detect and block new threats. He also manages proactive technology development, including Sophos's proactive Behavioral Genotype® Protection technology, which uses forensic analysis to identify suspicious patterns and characteristics unique to either a virus family or a spam campaign.
Harris is also a regular contributor to the SophosLabs blog, which provides round-the-clock information about newly discovered threats encountered by Sophos's worldwide network of analysts.
Last month Sophos published its annual Security Threat Report, which detailed how criminals are increasingly using the web to generate revenue and spread malware. 6000 new webpages are detected by Sophos every day, carrying malicious code - and there are increasing sightings of legitimate websites being hacked.
