Modern web attacks explored in Sophos technical paper Principal virus researcher Fraser Howard explores how cybercriminals are using the web
Sophos expert Fraser Howard.
Experts at SophosLabs™, Sophos's global network of virus and spam analysis centers, have published a new technical paper exploring the way malware uses the web to attack victims around the globe.
The paper, entitled "Modern web attacks", discusses how criminals are compromising innocent websites to plant their malicious code, and gives real examples where this has occured. Written by Fraser Howard, principal virus researcher at SophosLabs and a recognized expert in the field of malware, the technical paper describes the best ways in which firms can defend themselves from these kind of attacks.

Hackers use the web in a variety of ways to infect innocent computer users.
