Sophos relocates North American headquarters

Sophos, a world leader in integrated threat management solutions, today announced the relocation of its North American headquarters to Burlington, Mass. The company has experienced tremendous growth during the past several years and recognized a need to accommodate this, as well as future expansion. With this in mind, Sophos leased an expansive 25,000 square-foot office space.
Sophos's co-headquarters in Burlington will accommodate sales, marketing, human resources, professional services, research and development, and technical support departments, as well as a security research lab, which is part of SophosLabs™ -a global network of high-security threat research centers. The Burlington-based lab is an extension of North America's main lab based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
With more than 20 years' experience in the internet security industry, Sophos continues to deliver integrated threat management solutions for businesses, education, government and service providers, protecting against viruses, spyware, adware, Trojans, intrusion, spam and policy abuse. Earlier this month, Sophos acquired Network Access Control (NAC) vendor ENDFORCE. The acquisition follows the launch of the industry's first all-in- one web security appliance designed to provide content security, application control and URL filtering in a single appliance solution. The addition of a web appliance and NAC solution rounds out Sophos's suite of email, web and desktop solutions for complete security and control.

Hatton selected the company's new location on the basis of proximity to existing amenities, as well as the development of new shops, restaurants and entertainment options. "Our employees work hard, and we wanted to provide the best possible environment to encourage growth and energy," Hatton said.
