Sophos, a world leader in integrated threat management solutions, today announced that it is part of the team headed by Lockheed Martin that has been selected by the U.S. Army to compete for up to $20 billion in future information technology task orders under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions - Services (ITES-2S) contracting vehicle.
ITES-2S is a performance-based, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract established by the US Army's Program Executive for Enterprise Information Systems and managed by the Army Small Computer Program. It will be used by the Army and other federal agencies to obtain IT services, products and solutions for the next nine years. The award to Lockheed Martin includes three base years and three two-year options.
"We are pleased to have been chosen as a member of this team led by Lockheed Martin," said Mark Hatton, president of Lynnfield-based, Sophos. "Sophos is uniquely positioned to deliver the highest level of protection for organizations as we have more than 20 years of experience in providing integrated network security."
The new contract continues the original ITES-Enterprise Mission Support Services Solutions vehicle awarded to Lockheed Martin in November 2003. Services to be provided under ITES-2S include information security, education and training, business process re-engineering, IT services, network support, systems operations and maintenance, program management, and enterprise design - all to support the warfighter.
