Sophos expert addresses Infosecurity Europe on internet crime gangs

Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses, spyware and spam, today announced that Michael Argast, Global Head of Sales Engineering, will be presenting a paper about internet crime gangs at the Infosecurity Europe exhibition at 13:20 on 27 April 2006.
Argast, who has over a decade's experience working in the field of network security and has helped some of the world's largest organizations define and implement information security policies, will be describing the online crime gangs that operate on the interent, and the evolution of attacks that businesses have to protect themselves against.
Financial motivation has driven virus and spam writers to join forces to produce campaigns that co-ordinate virus, spam, phishing and spyware attacks. Sophos believes that as the volume and variants continue to increase, so must the sophistication of tools and methods of content filtering at network gateways.

The InfoSecurity Europe exhibition will be held at Olympia in London on 25-27 April 2006. Sophos will be exhibiting its products and discussing security threats on stand 520 throughout the three day event.
