Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses, spyware and spam, has today announced the appointment of Annie Gay to the role of VP of Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa with immediate effect.

"Since Annie became Managing Director of Sophos Sarl, she has provided strong leadership to the French team, taking them from strength to strength in the French market and driving up the profitability of the French subsidiary. In the past few years we have also gained a firm foothold in the Spanish market under her leadership," said Steve Munford, CEO of Sophos. "I am confident that Annie will continue the momentum that we are developing in markets around the world, and ensure that we have a co-ordinated strategy that allows us to build on our successes to date."
