Sophos CTO to speak in Washington DC

Lynnfield, MA - Sophos, a global leader in anti-virus, anti-spam and policy-based network security, today announced that Richard Jacobs, Chief Technology Officer, will participate in the E-Gov Information Assurance conference, in a session, titled "Combating spam, viruses, and emerging online threats". He is scheduled to speak on Wednesday 1 December 2004 at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center in Washington, DC.

This session will provide a lively discussion on the following topics:

Richard Jacobs has 15 years' commercial experience in software development and has contributed to the success of Sophos since 1989. Before joining the board in 2000, he was president of Sophos's American subsidiary for four years. In addition to being a board member, he has been Sophos's Chief Technology Officer since 2000.
