Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against spam and viruses, has announced that the multinational marine equipment company, Zodiac, has chosen Sophos's flagship product PureMessage to protect all of its business operations from spam email.
Zodiac, famous for its inflatable boats, also produce a wealth of airline and marine equipment at sites around the world. The company employs over 11,000 workers and has 20 sites across North America and 50 in Europe.
"Because we have many offices around the world, we rely heavily on email. It is unthinkable to let our communication system get polluted on a daily basis with millions of unsolicited messages, which are very expensive in terms of resources," said Dominique Page, Technical Director for Zodiac. "We wanted a solution which boasted great performance, easy administration and which guaranteed our users the highest level of satisfaction. This solution, provided to us by Sophos PureMessage, rids our email systems of virtually all the spam with the greatest user satisfaction - a direct result of our users being able to consult their quarantined messages when they wanted."
Sophos PureMessage supports Linux, Sun Solaris SPARC, HP-UX, FreeBSD, AIX on RISC, Windows 2000/2003/XP Professional, Exchange 2000/2003 and Microsoft IIS systems. A small business version is also available.
