Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows receives ICSA disinfection certification

ICSA Labs

Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, announced today that its solution for Windows has been awarded ICSA certification for disinfection.

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows was tested against all known in-the-wild viruses and disinfected them all with ease. This provides further confirmation of Sophos's ability to protect corporations from the viruses, worms and Trojans that threaten their systems.

"This is further confirmation that Sophos Anti-Virus is living up to customer expectations," said Ronnie Sutherland, product manager at Sophos. "As the same virus engine is common to all Sophos anti-virus products, this latest certification proves that we can protect multi-platform environments to the highest standard."

The International Computer Security Association is an independent reviewing body only awarding certification to those products able to perform outstandingly under test conditions.
