Lahore University of Management Sciences selects Sophos Anti-Virus

Lahore University of Management Sciences

SKP Services, Sophos's channel partner in Pakistan, today announced that Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has chosen Sophos Anti-Virus to protect its networks and 5000 students and users against over 75,000 computer viruses, Trojans and worms. LUMS will be relying on Sophos's award-winning software to defend them against malicious attacks for the forthcoming three years.

After a thorough evaluation on numerous platforms LUMS chose Sophos Anti-Virus on account of its efficient and reliable virus engine, its virus removal tools and the support offered by both SKP Services and Sophos themselves.

"The combination of robust, efficient virus detection and ease of use made Sophos the obvious choice," said Akram Siddiqui, Senior Technical Support Officer at LUMS. "Computer viruses are a concern for any network administrator, which is why it's vital to use a solution you can trust."

Sophos Anti-Virus has a strong record of protecting against the latest viruses and is regularly verified for its detection capabilities by independent testing bodies such as those from the ICSA, West Coast Labs and AV-Test.Org.
