Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT receives Virus Bulletin 100% award
Wakefield, MA - Sophos, the world leader in corporate anti-virus solutions, has announced that Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT has been awarded the VB 100% award in the April 2000 edition of Virus Bulletin, outperforming products such as Network Associates VirusScan. Virus Bulletin tested 14 different anti-virus products for their detection rates, lack of false alarms, and speed of scanning. Sophos not only detected all the in the wild virus samples it was tested against, but also came out with a perfect score in the false alarm test. Sophos outperformed a number of competing products including NAI VirusScan, which missed some in the wild viruses, and only supported the ZIP archive file format.
