What back-ups should be made on a system which has SafeGuard LAN Crypt installed?

Answer

Administration

  • Recoverykey file - It is possible to store the recoverykey (Assign new MSO Certificate in the Admin GUI to get access to the database) in 1 or more files.
You must take great care to ensure that an inappropriate person cannot obtain the backup and use it to get access as an MSO.
  • MSO and SO certificates - The certificates which will be used to log on to the administration. Back up the private keyfile and the certificate.
