Question

How to cascade the integrated Gina of my Checkpoint VPN Software and the SafeGuard Easy Gina

Answer

Actually there are two possibilities to cascade Sophos and checkpoint Gina.
The first possibility loads the SGGina first then Checkpoint and finally Microsoft.

All you have to do is to change the following settings within your registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CheckPoint\SecuRemote]
"Support3rdPartyGina"=dword:00000001
"ThirdPartyGina"="msgina.dll"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"GinaDLL"="SGGINA.DLL"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Utimaco\SGLogon]
"Original Gina"="ckpginashim.dll" <- Insert the name of Checkpoint Gina here

Under special circumstances it is necessary that a VPN tunnel has to be present for domain log on.
In this situation it might be that you have to change the cascading order in another way.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"GinaDLL"="ckpginashim.dll"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CheckPoint\SecuRemote]
"Support3rdPartyGina"=dword:00000001
"ThirdPartyGina"="sggina.dll"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Utimaco\SGLogon]
"Original Gina"="msgina.dll"
"GinaDllRepair"=dword:00000000 <- This key has to be reset in this situation.

Please find two registry files below that can directly be imported into your system and will apply all above mentioned changes
automatically.

Files have to be renamed from extension .txt to .reg!
