SafeGuard Easy multi-platform 4.5x
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional Edition
Is it possible to use the "Secure Hibernation" feature of SafeGuard Easy on systems with S-ATA drives?
Yes, it is possible, but you should be aware of the following:
Unexpected behaviour be observed in versions minor 4.30, such as a reboot after hibernation and not the expected correct resuming of the system.
This could be caused by special drivers for the S-ATA drives, which have been implemented during installation of the operating system. SafeGuard Easy cannot use these drivers to work with in order to perform the secure hibernation (with correct resuming).
In order to solve this issue, you should use standard operating system drivers, which would then make sure that the S-ATA drives are running in IDE compatibility mode.
As of SafeGuard Easy 4.30 it is possible use the secure hibernation feature with S-ATA HDD in AHCI mode.
