What are the new features introduced in Sophos Mobile Control 3.6?

Which versions can be updated?
In order to update to Sophos Mobile Control 3.6 you require at least version 3.0. former versions have first to be updated to this version.

How do I update SMC to the latest version?
To update your SMC server, download the latest version, double-click the setup and follow the instructions according to the Configuration Wizard. All components are updated automatically and no additional user interaction is required.
If you are updating from version 3.0 and you used SQL authentication during the installation of Sphos Mobile Control you will be asked to enter the credentials of your 'sa' account of your SQL server.
Note: Creating a backup of all involved components is recommended.

What is the 'supervised mode' which is required for some iOS settings?
The supervised mode is a special way to set up your iOS devices with the Apple Configurator provided by Apple.
If a device is setup in the supervised mode, additional settings can be configured and the given functionality of the iOS device can be restricted more.

How do I setup an iOS device in the supervised mode?

Is the new Apple VPP procedure supported with this version of Sophos Mobile Control?
