If a user has forgotten the TPM PIN required to boot a system that is secured by BitLocker, an additional step is required after performing the BitLocker recovery using the SafeGuard Management Center.
The same GUI can also be used to change the configured TPM PIN (requires knowledge of the current PIN).

What To Do
- Open the context menu of the encrypted system volume in the Windows Explorer and choose Change BitLocker PIN | reset a forgotten PIN.
Alternatively you can do the following:
- Open Control Panel | System and Security | BitLocker Drive Encryption and choose Change PIN.
- Reset a forgotten PIN requires administrative rights.
- Change PIN requires knowledge of the current PIN.
