Sophos WebAlert Service

Sophos WebAlert Service provides your organization with an automatic warning if any of your webpages are infected by malware.

The business challenge

Cybercriminals use the web to infect computers with malware and prefer to attack existing webpages. This is why over 90% of infected websites are legitimate. Once a site has been compromised, visitors with unsecure computers can become infected, or are encouraged to visit via emails that use social engineering tactics.

If your website is hosting malware, you need to know immediately so you can take action before your visitors become infected, your reputation is damaged and your website is block-listed.

How Sophos WebAlert Service works

SophosLabs™, our global network of threat analysis centers, maintains an extensive and constantly updated malware URL block list. It also receives information on over 23,500 newly infected webpages every day from some of the world’s largest Internet companies.

Once you register your domain names with us we compare them against our lists to see if they are compromised. If they are, an automatic email is sent to you detailing the specific URL that is infected and the name of the malware it is hosting, enabling you to take fast remedial action.

Sophos WebAlert Service also provides email summaries that detail each alert sent to you over the last month, allowing you to analyze and understand the threats you face. The service includes 24-hour telephone, email and online support, 365 days a year, and is available worldwide.
