Troj/DelSpy-E is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/DelSpy-E may inject code into other processes and includes functionality to steal passwords and email the information it steals to a remote user. The Trojan may also include backdoor functionality, allowing a remote user to gain a command prompt on the compromised computer. Troj/DelSpy-E is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

When first run Troj/DelSpy-E copies itself to <System>\msjwer.exe and creates the following files:

<Windows>\msjwer.dll - also detected as Troj/DelSpy-E
<System>\msjwer.hts

The following registry entry is created to run msjwer.exe on startup:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\52ED14AE-AB22-2CCA-CD3A-1AA4221E022C)

Troj/DelSpy-E sets the following registry entries, disabling the automatic startup of other software:

The following registry entry is set:

HKCU\Software\Adobe\GGZE

msjwer.hts

The file <System>\msjwer.hts is a text file which can safely be deleted after the above registry entry is removed.
