Troj/Daoser-A is a Trojan that downloads files without notifying the user.
Troj/Daoser-A connects to a predetermined website and downloads a configuration file. This may direct the Trojan to download further files.
At the time of writing, the Trojan is configured to download a copy of itself.
The Trojan may also open ports on the infected system, display advertising popups or intercept search requests.
Troj/Daoser-A drops components SVCHOST.EXE and SVCHOST.DLL in the following location:
<Windows system folder>\Services\{C922CCC4-CF61-4589-A0D1-828160704853}\
The Trojan creates the following registry entry in order to run the dropped components on system startup:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Service Host
