Troj/Certif-E is a password stealing Trojan.
When run Troj/Certif-E will remove registry entries referencing terraxp.exe and msn_explorer.exe from under the following key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
In order to run automatically when Windows starts up the Trojan copies itself to the file mailman.exe in the Windows system folder and adds the registry entry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
mailman.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mailman.exe
The Trojan monitors system activity and collects user credentials typed into the windows of various online banking applications. This information is stored in files created by the Trojan with a .txt extension within the %WINDOWS%/ssh folder which is also created by the Trojan.
Troj/Certif-E will then upload the contents of %WINDOWS%/ssh folder to a remote ftp server.
