Troj/Banker-DM is a multicomponent password stealing Trojan targeted at Brazilian online financial service users.
Troj/Banker-DM will monitor a user's internet access. When certain preconfigured sites are visited the Trojan will log keypresses in an attempt to steal confidential login details.
When Troj/Banker-DM is installed the following files are created:
<Windows system folder>\JavaBeans\csrss.exe
<Windows system folder>\JavaBeans\mlsass.dll
<Windows system folder>\JavaBeans\words.vxd
where csrss.exe is the Trojan main executable, mlsass.dll is a keylogging dll and words.vxd is a log file.
The following registry entry is created to run csrss.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Windows Explorer SP2
<Windows system folder>\JavaBeans\csrss.exe
Troj/Banker-DM also attempts to terminate Norton Anti-virus.
