Troj/Bancban-IO is an internet banking Trojan for the Windows platform.
When first run Troj/Bancban-IO copies itself to <System>\mssvc32.exe.
The following registry entry is created to run mssvc32.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
SysPool
<System>\MSSVC32.EXE
Troj/Bancban-IO then silently monitors in the background, waiting for browser access to Brazilian banking websites.
Once a successful match is found, Troj/Bancban-IO attempts to harvest information and send the harvested information to a remote location.
