Mal/Iframe-AD is a malicious iframe that loads further malicious code from other websites.
This iframe is often found injected into clean websites driving regular visitors to malicious content. It is also found on pages related to SEO poisoning which are then forced higher up the ranks in search engine results. The code pointed to by the malicious iframe is typically part of a drive-by download, dropping further malicious code on to users' machines without their consent.
Mal/Iframe-AD is an attack not just seen by Windows users, but is often experienced by Mac OS X users as well.
