Retirement of Sophos Update Manager for Windows, versions 1.0.1.111, 1.0.1.113 and 1.0.3.122 at the end of September 2012

Sophos Update Manager for Windows, versions 1.0.1.111, 1.0.1.113 and 1.0.3.122 will be retired at the end of September 2012.

If you have previously changed from the Recommended version and selected one of these specific versions in Enterprise Console, you will need to configure the version of Sophos Update Manager so that your network continues to be protected.

This article explains how to upgrade from these Sophos Update Manager versions to later versions.

Known to apply to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)
Sophos Update Manager 1.0.3.122,
Sophos Update Manager 1.0.1.113,
Sophos Update Manager 1.0.1.111

What To Do

Check whether your Sophos Update Manager version needs to be upgraded

  1. Refer to the 'Configure the self-updating of an update manager' section of the Enterprise Console Help for the version of Enterprise Console which is installed.
  2. If the version is 1.0.3.122 or earlier then this will need to be upgraded.

Upgrade to a later Sophos Update Manager version

  1. Refer to the 'Configure the self-updating of an update manager' section of the Enterprise Console Help for the version of Enterprise Console which is installed.
  2. Select an update manager version later than 1.0.3.122, if you select 'recommended', the update manager will always be upgraded to the version that is labelled as such at Sophos
