How to change language setting for Sophos Enterprise Console and Sophos Anti-virus.

This article explains how to change the language used by Sophos Enterprise Console and Sophos Anti-virus post installation.

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+
Enterprise Console

What To Do

During an installation the installer will detect the current operating system language settings and configure the product to match the current operating system language settings. After an installation the operating system display language is checked on each launch of the software. As such the language used can be selected by configuring the display language as follows: 

Win2000/XP/2003

  1. Select Start|Control Panel
  2. Click on 'Date, Time, Language and Regional Options'
  3. Select 'Regional and Language Options'. Choose the desired language from the drop down list and select 'OK'
  4. Close/re-open Sophos Anti-Virus/Enterprise Console etc for this change to take effect.

Win7/8/2008

  1. Select Start|Control Panel
  2. Choose 'Clock, Language and Region'
  3. Click on 'Change the date, time or number format'. Choose the desired language from the drop down list and select 'OK'
  4. Close/re-open Sophos Anti-Virus/Enterprise Console etc for this change to take effect.
