How to remove EM Library after upgrading to Endpoint Security and Control 9.x

What to do

  1. Run an updating hierarchy report:

    From the Tools menu, select Manage Reports.
    In Report Manager window, highlight Updating hierarchy and then click Run.
  2. Check for groups that are still updating from EM Library's CIDs. Create a new updating policy for these groups that uses the new updating structure.
  3. If you have any child EM Libraries that have not yet been upgraded, either upgrade them or remove EM Library from them before removing the parent EM Library. For instructions on upgrading child libraries, see the Advanced Upgrade guide.

  4. To remove the parent library:

    1. In Enterprise Console, from the Tools menu, select Manage Libraries.

    2. When the EM Library Console appears, from the File Menu, select Add/Remove snap-in. Remove the EM Library snap-in.

  5. In Add/Remove Programs, select Sophos EM Library and click Remove.
