PureMessage administration console blank on opening

Issue

On double-clicking the PureMessage icon to open the administration console, the console displays only the below text:

Cause

This issue is caused by a corrupt Microsoft Management Console Snap-In Control (.MSC) file.

What To Do

Create a new .MSC file

  1. Start | Run | Type: MMC | Press Enter
  2. From the 'File' menu select 'Add/Remove Snap-in...'
  3. Select 'PureMessage Administration Console' and click 'Add >'
  4. In the 'Select server' dialogue box select 'Local Computer' then click 'OK' then 'OK' again
  5. The PureMessage console will now be displayed, from the 'File' menu select 'Save As...'
  6. Enter the 'File name:' as PureMessage.msc and set the 'Save in:' location to 'Desktop' then click 'Save'
