ActiveSync fails to synchronize a users mailbox items on their devices
When PureMessage has Exchange Information Store scanning disabled within the policy, the devices are able to use ActiveSync to synchronize with the Exchange Mailbox

As detailed in the following Microsoft article:
Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync cannot synchronize items in a store when the virus scanner on the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 server is configured not to scan that store. For example, this problem occurs if you configure the virus scanner to scan the public folder store but not the mailbox store. The items in the mailbox store cannot be synchronized.
What To Do
- Open the PureMessage console
- Access 'Configuration | Exchange store scanning policy | Change Exchange store scan settings'
- Tick the option 'Enable on-access scanning' for both the private and public stores
- Tick the option 'Enable proactive scanning' for both the private and public stores
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'Save changes'
The ActiveSync feature will now allow synchronization to take place.
