Archive scanning can be enabled in Sophos Mobile Security either at the mobile device, or using the administrator Configuration Tool. By default, archive scanning is disabled.
When archive scanning is enabled, the following archive and compressed file types will be scanned:
- Arj
- Cmz
- Gzip
- Rar
- Tar
- Zip
- MSCabinet
- Lha
- MSCompress
- SfxArchives
- MacBinary
- BinHex
- Uue
- Bzip2
- ITSS
- Rpm
- UnixArchive
What to do
To turn on archive scanning, do as follows.
- Select Start|Sophos Mobile Security.
- Tap Scans.
- Tap Configure.
- Select 'Scan archives'.
