PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange: how to turn off notification of unscannable email messages

Issue
How to turn off notifications from PureMessage when it cannot scan corrupted or encrypted email attachments.

PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 3.0.1

Operating system
Windows 2003 SP2

What to do

  1. Open PureMessage Console.
  2. In the left-hand pane click 'Exchange store scanning'.
  3. In the right-hand pane click 'Change exchange store scan settings.
  4. In the 'Change exchange store scan settings' dialog box, click the 'Scan' tab.
  5. In the 'On unscannable' panel, deselect the 'Alert administrator' checkbox.
  6. Click OK, then Save changes.
