How to stop PureMessage from sending administrator emails for unscannable email or SMTP messages.

What to do

Unscannable email messages

  1. Open the PureMessage console and, on the left-hand side, select 'Exchange Store Scanning Policy'.
  2. Select 'Change Exchange Store Scan Settings'.
  3. In the dialog box that opens, select the 'Scan' tab.
  4. Under 'Unscannable', remove the check mark in the 'Alert Administrator' check box and then click Save Changes.

Unscannable SMTP mail

  1. Open the PureMessage console and, on the left-hand side, select 'Anti-virus'.
  2. Select 'Change anti-virus settings' from the Configuration menu on the right-hand side.
  3. In the dialog box that opens, in the 'On unscannable' section, remove the check mark in the 'Alert Administrator' check box.
  4. Click OK and then click Save Changes.
