PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange: all inbound mails are being deleted

Issue
Recipient validation in PureMessage results in all mails being deleted.

Technical Information
This issue arises if you have previously ignored error messages on recipient validation.

What to do

  1. In the PureMessage Console, go to Configuration|Users and Groups.
  2. Click on the Active Directory button and then select 'Detect'.
  3. Press OK, and then click on Save Changes.
  4. Enable recipient validation (if not already done).

Mail should now be filtered correctly.

NOTE: If there is no Active Directory on your network, in order to use recipient validation you will need to enter each of the users and their mailbox within the Custom Users and Groups section of PureMessage.
