During an installation of Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX on to Solaris versions 9 or 10, if you give a non-ASCII path, the installation fails with the message svccfg:Syntax error.

Sophos product and version
Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX, version 7 and above

Operating system

What to do

This occurs because of a limitation in Solaris versions 9 and 10.

If an ASCII install path is specified, the installation should proceed correctly.
