Issue
Following installation of Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX, version 7.0.0, a new policy doesn't pass to the endpoint when it is switched on after first shut-down, and Enterprise Console may report 'Awaiting response from computer'.

Sophos product and version
Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX, 7.0.0

Technical information
This issue only occurs if you incorrectly perform the first shut-down of the system following installation of Sophos Anti-Virus for UNIX, 7.0.0, for example, by shutting down with the command 'halt' rather than using the correct 'shutdown' command. This will cause the RMS to fail to record that the agent has shut down, resulting in a false entry in the system that RMS uses to start up the next time.

This can result in the Router on the endpoint discarding messages that have been sent from the console to the endpoint while it was shut down.
