Sophos release Talpa Binary Packs to provide on-access scanning support for the latest Linux kernels. We aim to provide support for new kernels as soon as possible. However, for operational reasons there is currently a delay in releasing these Talpa Binary Packs.

We expect to resume these updates in mid-December 2012.

Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s)

Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux 9.0.0
Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux 7.5.11

What to do

It is important that you check the list of supported kernels before performing any upgrade, because upgrading to an unsupported kernel may disable on-access scanning.

Update - 07th December 2012

Publication of Talpa Binary Packs has been resumed and support for the latest Linux kernels will be released periodically.  Check the supported kernels list for full details.
