Some parameters of Sophos Anti-Virus Admins, such as users and groups, can be centrally created and managed by the local admin. When Sophos groups and users are centrally managed in a network, it may be more convenient to install and uninstall Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux using special options to omit user and group parameters from the install and uninstall commands, as shown below.
Installation options
--no-add-user
Assume that the sophosav user already exists, and therefore do not create the user.
--no-add-group
Assume that the sophosav group already exists, and therefore do not create the group.
Uninstallation options
--no-remove-user
Do not attempt to remove the sophosav user on uninstallation.
--no-remove-group
Do not attempt to remove the sophosav group on uninstallation.
