Endpoints not updating but Sophos Update Manager reports as up-to-date

Issue
Your endpoint computers are reporting that they can't update, but you have checked your Sophos Update Managers and shares and they are downloading new versions.

Known to affect the following Sophos product and version
Enterprise Console, version 4.0
Endpoint Security and Control, version 9

What to do

The downloaded package may be corrupt. You can either wait for the next scheduled download, or force an update, as described below.

  1. In Enterprise Console, click 'Update Now' to start a new download. This will fail with an error code.
  2. Click 'Update Now' again. This time, the Update Manager will download new data from the Sophos databank.
