Error 0x2004021e reported

PureMessage for Windows/Exchange fails to scan messages, and returns the error:

"error 0x2004021e occurred while scanning a message"

This error usually indicates that the copy of Sophos Anti-Virus on the affected computer is several months out of date.

What to do

Go to the computer that generated the error message, and check that the Sophos Anti-Virus is up to date.
