Question
What does the SafeGuard LAN Crypt key icon shows in the Windows Task bar?

Answer
The key icon in the Windows task bar shows the state of SafeGuard LAN:

Green means: Encryption rules loaded, transparent encryption activated.

Yellow means: Encryption rules loaded, transparent encryption deactivated.

Red means: No profile loaded.

The User Application component installs the SafeGuard LAN Crypt user application. A symbol in the Windows task bar represents the SafeGuard LAN Crypt user application.

The application provides (via right mouse button) the following functions to the user:

- Load encryption rules
- Clear encryption rules
- Deactivate/Activate encryption
- Show profile
- Client status
- Initial encryption
- Close
- About

You can prevent a user from logging off (or temporarely switching off the encryption) by installing Safe Guard LAN Crypt without the User Application.
