After Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption has been installed why does it take so long to logon to the domain, if the Checkpoint SecuRemote Client (VPN Client) is installed?
This may involve a known error in the Checkpoint VPN Client 4.x and 5.x.
We can offer two potential solutions:
1) This problem can be resolved by modifying the GINA cascade.
Please note that the modification of the GINA cascade by our technical support staff falls under so-called Second-level Support. There is no charge for this, for customers with a valid maintenance contract.
We will be glad to offer customers without a maintenance contract Second-level Support, for which we will charge them.

2) If you do not use the Secure Auto Logon (SAL) you can alternatively install Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption without the "SGGina".
