Question

Why is it not possible to boot from floppy disk after the PBA?

Answer

The following points could possibly influence/prevent booting after PBA from diskette:

- The inserted floppy disk is not a bootable diskette

- The chosen user does not have the right to boot from diskette after the PBA (SYSTEM always has this right)

- The floppy drive is internally not connected via a standard floppy controller but via USB, IDE (LS120), ...

- The floppy disk encryption might be active but the chosen bootable diskette is not encrypted

- An encryption of harddisks was initialized but not completed yet
