Question

How to solve these errors?

Answer

When trying to uninstall Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption, the error messages SDE1104 and SDE1601 appear after entering the Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption logon credentials.

Then it’s not possible to continue the uninstallation process.

Check whether the registrykey

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]\"UpperFilters"

is missing the "Sgeflt" entry.

Solution: Enter the valid value "Partmgr Sgeflt" in the above mentioned registry entry. Make sure the Sgeflt entry comes immediately after PartMgr.

After rebooting the system, try to uninstall again.
