Question

What can be done to solve this issue?

Answer

During the installation of Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption, entries are written in a personal folder. This personal folder should be placed in a directory that is always available, otherwise, the error message 1327 will occur. Per default, the path is configured using environment variables such as %USERPROFILE%. If the personal folder path variable %USERPROFILE% has been replaced with a specific path, such as G:\Office\Profile\User1 or been redirected to a USB device, the folder location may not be available.

Note: The correct path can be checked by viewing the following registry key, as shown in the *.gif file.

Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
