The installation of Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption fails with error message SDE1005. What can be done?

Answer

Please unmount all TrueCrypt volumes and restart the installation of Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption.

If all devices had been unmounted and the installation fails again, please check the registry regarding PartMgr entries (see detailed description in KBA 109252 - SDE 1005 while installing Sophos SafeGuard Disk Encryption).
